How Sports Massage works

Sports Massage manipulates the tissue in your body to encourage movement and reduce stiffness. It helps promote recovery and reduces the chance of muscle injury.
It is proven to:

  • Release and reduce tension in muscles
  • Improve circulation
  • Reduce DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) by helping to remove waste
    products such as lactic acid
  • Help to relax your body

This treatment can be useful at various stages in your exercise routine from preparation and training to competition and recovery. It is an excellent way to encourage your tissues to heal more quickly and help avoid injury.

What happens in a Sports Massage session?

It starts with a quick chat over Zoom, to see if Sports Massage is right for you. Then all being well, we’ll invite you in for a physical consultation. Here we’ll get a full history, assess your injury and begin your first treatment.

Oh, and don’t forget to bring a pair of shorts along, so I can assess your body structure.
